How does your service work, and how do I get started?

Book a free 15‑minute discovery call so we can learn about your business, your current bookkeeping setup (or backlog), and your growth goals. After the call, we’ll recommend the best package, send a proposal, and start onboarding. Most clients are fully up and running within one week.

What’s the difference between a bookkeeper, an accountant, and a CPA?

A bookkeeper records daily transactions, reconciles accounts, and keeps your ledger accurate. An accountant reviews that data, prepares financial statements, and offers analysis. A CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is an accountant licensed by the state to provide additional services such as audited financials and complex tax filings. Herboth Business Solutions provides full‑service bookkeeping and management‑level accounting; we also partner with CPAs when a formal audit or specialized tax work is required.

Do you handle personal and business taxes?

Yes. We prepare individual (1040) and business returns (1065, 1120-S, 1120), along with Schedules C, E, F, and estate tax returns. We also offer quarterly tax estimate services for freelancers and small business owners.

Which locations do you serve?

We focus on small businesses in Ohio, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania, particularly those within about an hour’s drive of Steubenville, OH. If you’re outside that radius but still in the tri‑state area, reach out — we may still be able to help remotely.

Can you file payroll taxes and set up payroll for my team?

Absolutely. We handle payroll setup and ongoing payroll for S-Corps and businesses with up to 30 employees. We also process W-2s, file payroll tax forms, and assist with Workers Comp reporting.

Do I need to use your bookkeeping service to get tax or CFO support?

Not necessarily. However, if you don’t have clean, up-to-date financials, we may recommend a cleanup service first. For CFO or advisory plans, we do require reliable books—whether maintained by us or your team.

How does onboarding work after I purchase a service?

Once you complete checkout, you’ll be directed to an Onboarding Call page to schedule your kickoff. You’ll also receive a confirmation email and a checklist of items we'll need to begin.
